Home Fire Preparedness Campaign

Did you know?

If a fire starts in your home, you may have just two minutes to escape. Working smoke alarms cut the risk of dying in home fires by half.

What it is?

Seven times a day someone in this country dies in a fire. The American Red Cross Home Fire Preparedness Campaign aims to reduce the number of home-fire deaths and injuries by 25 percent over the next five years, working with community partners and stakeholders to install smoke alarms and provide fire- and disaster-safety education in communities at risk for home fires.

What you can do.

We are hosting an event in Carter County, Oklahoma the month of January 2017. You can dramatically increase the chances of surviving a fire by simply signing up below and allowing the Red Cross to install FREE smoke alarms in your home. We also will provide fire safety education and teach your family how to create an escape plan. We will call you and schedule an appointment. Should you have any questions please call (405) 561-1RED (1733).

Have an escape plan.
